About Me :
Dina was born one wintery day in Zagreb, Croatia where she lived her first seven years of childhood before moving to the other side of the world - A very hot and sunny Abu Dhabi where she lived the rest of her childhood and adolescent life. Constantly traveling between the two, she spent her school year in Abu Dhabi eagerly waiting for the summer to come, to go back to where she called home. Croatia. Being born to a Croatian mother and a Palestinian father, she was often torn between the two worlds, which exposed her to two very different cultures. That in turn brought as much richness and beauty to her life as challenges as well.
Finishing high school, she then moved to Jordan to complete her education where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Interior Design and then moved back to Abu Dhabi to pursue her dream career of becoming an Interior Designer. A dream short lived and obstructed when she decided to leave it all behind to become a full-time mum.
It was only until 2016 that she got back in touch with her roots, her passion and creativity trying to find herself once more. That is when she stumbled upon an Urban Sketching community and decided to attend the Urban Sketching Symposium event in Manchester that year. Having been out of practice, out of date with things. She purchased her first sketching kit, did an online course and in June of that same year was flying to Manchester not knowing what to expect. The rest was history.
Today, Dina lives in Kuwait with her husband and two children and is constantly in search of the next big thing to sketch or new skill to learn but most of all always getting in touch with her creativity and never letting that go ever again.
So, if you’re like Dina and you’ve lost your way once when life kicked in and somehow you want find your way back, join her as she takes her lines on regular walks on this journey we call life.
